Vana Nava Water Jungle sits in Hua Hin, on Thailand’s Gulf coast, attached to Holiday Inn Resort Vana Nava Hua Hin. It’s open to hotel guests and the general public, so you don’t need to be staying there to visit, though guests do get a few perks worth knowing about.

We’ve now visited twice, once last year and once on our most recent trip, so this covers what’s changed and what’s stayed the same.

Getting In and Opening Hours

The park runs from 11am to 5pm, so plan your day around that window rather than assuming it’s open all day.

Hotel guests staying at Holiday Inn Resort Vana Nava Hua Hin use a separate entrance and get unlimited access for the length of their stay, so you’re not queuing with day visitors. If you’re not staying at the hotel, you can still visit as a member of the public through the main entrance.

  • Adult Ticket – ฿1,400
  • Child Ticket – ฿1,000
  • Senior Ticket – ฿1,000

What hotel guests get included

Towels are free for hotel guests, though bathrobes and room towels can’t be taken out of the room. Lockers are free too and open with your wristband, but there’s a ฿100 charge if you want to use one before check in or after check out. You also get shared beach huts, numbers 5 and 6, which hold up to 6 people each.

One thing to pack round regardless of how you’re visiting: swim rings, snorkelling gear and sand toys aren’t allowed inside the water park.

Height Rules for the Rides

The park uses height bands rather than age, so it’s worth checking this before you go rather than guessing on the day.

  • Under 110cm: free entry, access to the toddler areas
  • 111cm to 121cm: needs a child ticket, access to a good chunk of the park
  • 122cm and taller: full access, including the two headline slides

In our opinion, this setup works well for toddlers. There’s normally a dedicated toddler zone, a lazy river, and calmer play areas that don’t need any height at all, so smaller children aren’t just watching from the side.

Our girls cleared the height bands for almost everything on our most recent visit. The only ride our youngest missed out on was the Tornado, where she wasn’t quite tall enough. Everything else was fair game.

Heads Up if You’re Visiting Between Mid August and Early October 2026

The Lazy River and Infinity Pool are closed for maintenance from 14 August to 3 October 2026. Our girls love the lazy river, so this was a genuine disappointment on our last visit. If your dates fall in that window, check with the hotel or the park directly before you go, since it’s one of the bigger draws for younger kids.

Nava Swim Club, if Your Kids Need a Confidence Boost

If your child isn’t fully confident in water yet, Vana Nava runs Nava Swim Club for ages 6 to 12, aimed at building water confidence rather than formal lessons. Worth asking the water park team about current sessions if you think your kids would benefit, since it’s a nice option to have before you’re relying on swim rings for the bigger slides.

Making the Most of Your Tokens

If you’re staying at the hotel, you’ll get tokens on arrival, the number depends on your room type and length of stay. Tokens work in two places, the Games Room and food inside the park.

Paying with tokens gets you a better rate than paying cash. A 32oz soft drink costs ฿50 in tokens, and mains like jumbo fries, large nuggets or chicken pops cost ฿100 in tokens. Pay cash instead and the same drink is ฿85, with those mains at ฿135 each, so tokens are worth using if you’ve got them spare.

A menu titled 'Token Menu' featuring various food and drink items with their prices in Thai Baht (THB). Items include snacks like popcorn and rice crackers, soft drinks, yogurt cones, chicken dishes, 8-inch pizzas, and alcoholic beverages. The menu is decorated with a tropical theme and includes images of some items.

There’s also a set menu of one drink and one food item for ฿199 cash that needs no tokens at all. Do the maths and using 2 tokens, worth ฿150 combined, on individual items only saves you about ฿49 over the set menu, so it’s not always the better deal if tokens are tight.

In the Games Room, each token buys around 10 minutes of play, though this varies by machine.

A Sweet Stop for the Kids

Thalay Café and the Pool Bar do a Fruity Slushy Splash in dolphin shaped bottles, in Blue Hawaii, Green Apple, Strawberry or Mango. A bottle with drink is ฿120, or ฿99 for just the bottle if you already have one from a previous visit, with ฿49 refills after that. Ours were a hit and doubled as a decent souvenir cup.

Crowds and When to Visit

Our first visit was over a Friday and Saturday, and the park was busy, with a school group in as well. This time we went on a Sunday afternoon, after 3pm, and it was noticeably quiet. Monday wasn’t busy either. If you can shift your visit off the Friday to Saturday window, it’s a much calmer experience, especially later in the day on a Sunday.

Tips for Visiting

Bring water shoes, the concrete gets hot underfoot by midday. Head to the slides first thing if you want shorter queues. If you’re a hotel guest, ask at check in about your token allocation so you know what you’re working with before day one.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Nava Swim Club is a nice option for kids still building water confidence
  • Tokens work out cheaper than paying cash for food and games
  • Sunday afternoons and Mondays are noticeably quieter than weekends

Cons

  • Only open 11am to 5pm, so it’s not an all-day park
  • Gets busy at weekends and during school holidays
  • The Lazy River and Infinity Pool are closed for maintenance from 14 August to 3 October 2026
  • Token allocation for hotel guests is tied to room count and nights, not headcount, so bigger families can come up short

Final Thoughts

Vana Nava Water Jungle is the kind of park that holds up on a second visit, which says a lot. The height band system means everyone in the family gets a proper turn on something, not just the toddlers or the tall kids, and the token pricing rewards you for staying at the hotel next door.
